Chapter Ten

The next week went by in a blur for Allye. Gray convinced her not to go back to San Francisco with Jessie still missing. After her dream, and really thinking about it, she decided that her safety was more important than any job.

She’d called Robin and explained what was happening, and, luckily, the owner of the dance theatre agreed that it was best she stay away for now. They’d talked at length about the performance, and Allye reassured her boss and friend that she’d practice the routines even if she wasn’t in California. She also promised to call if she needed anything.

She’d hung up feeling pretty good about her friendship with the older woman and about the security of her job. Allye didn’t know what would happen in the future, but for now, she was taking things one day at a time.

Living with Gray was amazing. He hadn’t lied, he wasn’t gentle when it came to sex, but since she enjoyed everything he did to her, and he made sure she was always satisfied—often making sure she came more than once—it wasn’t exactly a hardship. She loved when he physically lifted and moved her where he wanted her.

One afternoon after he’d arrived home from a meeting with the rest of the team and saw her in the kitchen making dinner, without a word, he’d pulled her over to the kitchen table, pushed her down, shoved her pants to her ankles, and fucked her until she was a puddle of goo. Then he’d picked her up, carried her to the couch, covered her with a blanket, kissed her on top of her head, and told her to nap while he finished dinner.

Then there was the time she was in the shower, and, without asking, he’d joined her. He’d proceeded to push her to her knees and hold her head while he’d fucked her mouth. It should’ve been debasing, but throughout it all, he’d never forced her to take more of him than she could comfortably take. He’d caressed her hair the entire time she was sucking him off, and afterward, held her in his arms as she masturbated herself to orgasm while he watched, then washed and conditioned her hair.

He was a dichotomy of rough and gentle, and the more time Allye spent with him, the more she got to understand him. He didn’t put up with a lot of bullshit and said whatever was on his mind. But he never tried to manipulate her into making a decision that he thought she should make, which she appreciated. He was also very aware of her being smaller and weaker than he was, and never crossed the line between rough and hurtful when they made love.

But she had no idea if whatever they had was going to last. Yeah, Gray liked having her live with him. What guy wouldn’t? He had access to uninhibited sex all the time, and she’d pretty much taken over in the kitchen just to keep herself occupied.
